At Carolinas Hospital System, we provide a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services to help detect and treat cancer.

In addition to diagnostic services, surgery and chemotherapy, Carolinas Hospital System also offers advanced technology helps us to deliver a focused radiation beam from a linear accelerator to the tumor. Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) are both available at Carolinas Hospital System (see IMRT video).

Our Linear Accelerator is a complex, finely-tuned system that precisely targets and bombards cancerous tumors with x-rays and electrons to stop the spread of cancer, provide relief for cancer patients, and in many cases, cure the disease.
