Carolinas Hospital System is proud to announce an exciting new program called "VIP Express." VIP Express is a patient friendly process designed to make registration at Carolinas as quick and easy as possible. Upon receiving an order for services, a patient or a physician’s office can call our special VIP Express hotline at 674-4542 and speak with one of our VIP specialists. Our specialist will strive to complete the entire registration process over the phone so that upon arrival at the hospital for services, the patient can experience an "express" trip through the registration area and into patient care areas.

"We have been expecting you" is the common greeting now given to our patients at the main podium in Central Registration. Patients who have pre-registered will have a "VIP Express Passport" waiting for them, and they can quickly sign consents and take care of any co-insurance or deductibles that are due at that time. The average time from walking in the door to completing the registration process is now at just two minutes!

"It has been so exciting in the first phase of this program to see how much the patients have appreciated this process and how much our staff has enjoyed this new program. The process is designed to move patients very quickly through registration and into the hands of the caregivers. The patients seem very pleased," said Ronnie Calvert, Admissions Manager.
