Lung Cancer Management Program
We're fighting back against Lung Cancer
Toni McGiboney, RN, BSN
Nurse Coordinator
More Americans die from lung cancer each year than from breast, prostate and colorectal cancers combined. The disease hits hard in the Pee Dee Region, strikes African-American men disproportionately and is increasing among all women.
The Lung Cancer Management Program at Carolinas Hospital System is fighting back with a focused approach and multidisciplinary oncology team. The program was established to provide comprehensive clinical management for lung cancer patients, support for families and educational outreach to the community.
The CHS Lung Cancer Team reaches across many specialties and disciplines:
- surgeons
- radiation oncologists
- medical oncologists
- pathologists
- pulmonologists
- pain management specialists
- radiologists
- RN coordinator
- rehabilitation therapists
- nutritionists
While lung cancer is a tough foe, we’ve built a tough team to fight it. It's one more way we’re making the Carolinas difference. For more information please contact Toni McGiboney, RN, BSN, at (843) 687-7714.
