The Women's Center of Carolinas Hospital System is a 20-bed freestanding hospital dedicated to providing the full spectrum of maternity care, gynecological services and mammography for women of all ages. Personalized care and privacy are emphasized in a caring and supportive atmosphere. In fact, The Women's Center of Carolinas Hospital System pioneered single room maternity care in the region by offering suites, which incorporate the birthing experience in one private room. These rooms combine a comfortable, home-like atmosphere with the latest technology - supported by a full range of healthcare professionals.

Neonatal Special Care Nursery
Under the leadership and guidance of our skilled neonatologists, the staff at The Women's Center utilizes advanced technology to provide intensive care services for high-risk and premature babies in the caring environment of our Neonatal Special Care Nursery.
Other Women's Services
Baseline and annual mammograms are performed at Women's Diagnostics to detect breast cancer in its earliest stages. Privacy and comfort for the patient are emphasized in a separate radiology suite, while flexible hours of operation also ensure convenience. Laparoscopic and other state-of-the-art technologies are available for women needing gynecological surgery. These medical advances promote faster healing and quicker recovery for patients.
Pediatrics
To complement the services available for women at Carolinas Hospital System, a broad range of general and specialized pediatric services are also available. The pediatric unit is staffed with nurses certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Coupled with specific medical technology designed for children, these pediatric specialists care for our young patients in child-friendly surroundings planned exclusively for the care and comfort of children.
Pediatric Home Health Services
Our Pediatric Home Health Services enable children who are ill to be cared for in the environment most conducive to recovery by providing skilled services for clinical problems that can be managed in the home. The services available include support for medically-fragile newborns, medication administration and IV therapy, physical and occupational therapy and more.
